Replacement of contestant for the National Queen Show

SSt. George’s, Grenada, July 20, 2015:- The contestant representing the parish of St. George has been replaced due to medical reasons. Miss. Samantha Charles the representative for St. George has been recently hospitalized and had to undergo emergency surgery. As a result, Ms. Charles has not been medically cleared for participating in the National Queen Show, due to the hectic preparation and strenuous nature of the competition specifically as it relates to the costume section. Spicemas Corporation has expressed its regret and wishes Miss. Charles a speedy recovery.

The Queen Show committee assures the public that a replacement has been identified in that of Miss. Lindonna Andrews. Miss. Andrews has met the requirements as stipulated and image_1considered to be an excellent replacement for the parish of St. George. She will join with the other contestants on their practicing schedule already in place. The organizers does not foresee this being a disadvantage to the new contestant seeingĀ  that she comes with a measure of experience in related areas.

The National Queen Show is carded for August Thursday August 6, at the National Stadium. The Seven contestants will be presented to the public for the first time during the Semi Final of the Groovy Monarch competition to be held in Carnival City on Wednesday.
