ADULT FANCY MAS REGISTRATION FORM

THIS FORM AND ITS ATTACHMENTS/ SCHEDULES CONSTITUTE A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN SPICEMAS CORPORATION AND THE MAS BAND.

 

NOW THEREFORE, I HEREBY AGREE AS FOLLOWS:

1. To be bound by all of the terms and conditions of this agreement including the SMC Mas Bands Rules and Regulations, described in the Schedule 1 hereto;

 

2. To comply with all of the said SMC Mas Bands Rules;
3. That the above-mentioned Mas Band shall be present at the official drawing for road position on the date and at the venue designated by the Spicemas Corporation. If the Band Leader is unable to attend, a duly appointed representative may participate on their behalf. Failure to attend will result in the band being assigned a potion drawn by a representative of the Spicemas Corporation.

 

4. The above-mentioned Mas Band is required to be present and in its assigned position prior to the commencement of the parade on both Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday. The designated reporting time will be determined by the Spicemas Corporation. Failure to be present during the final line check will result in the band being placed at the end of the parade route. There will be zero tolerance for late arrivals or any attempt to breach the established parade lineup once the parade has commenced. Non-compliance will result in the band being grounded and removed from the parade. b To conduct the affairs of the Mas Band in such a manner so as not to cause damage to the reputation of or bring disrepute to SMC and its activities, including Spicemas 2026.

 

5. All Mas Bands are required to ensure that their vehicles undergo the necessary inspection                                and receive formal approval prior to Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday. The inspection date will be communicated by the Spicemas Corporation and conducted in collaboration with the Royal Grenada Police Force. Each Mas Band shall be held liable for any damage or injury to participants along the parade route resulting from their vehicles or equipment.No unauthorized modifications to vehicles or equipment’s are permitted after inspection.

 

6. All Mas Bands are required to comply with the instructions and directives issued by representatives and marshals of the Spicemas Corporation, as well as officers of the Royal Grenada Force. Failure to comply will result in removal from the parade and disqualification from participation in Spicemas 2027.

 

7. Once the parade has commenced, all Mas Bands are required to proceed at a safe and moderate pace that does not disrupt the flow of the parade or impede the movement of any emergency vehicles.
8. While acknowledging the diverse cultural influences present on the road and the need to satisfy participants, each Mas Band agree to prioritize the promotion and playing of local Grenadian music on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, while still incorporating selected international selections. Please note that this requirement is essential to facilitate the proper adjudication of Road March Song.
9. To release and fully discharge the Spicemas Corporation (SMC) from any liability, claims, causes of action, or demands arising from any damage, loss, or injury that may be sustained by the Mas Band, its agents, personnel, or any associated individuals or organizations, including patrons or clients, as result of participation in Spicemas 2026, specifically during the  Mas Band parades on Monday, 10^th August, and Tuesday, 11^th August, 2026.
10. That the release hereinabove extends to and applies to covers and includes all unknown, undisclosed, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, losses and liabilities and the consequences thereof, notwithstanding the provisions of any law or statue to the contrary- such provisions are hereby expressly waived;
11. The Mas Band’s participation in Spicemas 2026, including the Mas Band parades, shall not be construed as an admission of liability or the assumptions of any responsibility by the Spicemas Corporation (SMC). The Mas Band agrees to hold SMC harmless from and against and all actions, claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses of any kind or nature, including attorney’s fees that may arise at any time as a result of the Mas Band’s participation in Spicemas 2026.
12. The Spicemas Corporation reserves the right to revoke a Mas Band’s license at any time in the event of a breach of any terms or conditions of this agreement, including the SMC Mas Band Rules.
13. Spicemas Corporation reserves the right to use images or videos of bands for promotional purposes.
14. Bands must cooperate with official photographers and media.

 

XC$10 per person for bands over 200, e.g. 230 members will be 230×10 = $2,300.00

 

Bands 200 or less pay XC$1,000.00

 

Maximum size of band: 1200 revelers

1. 1. That I am the duly authorized representative of the mas band, and execute this agreement for and on behalf thereof.

    

   2. That all of the information entered into this form is true and correct;

    

   3. That I have paid the appropriate Spicemas Corporation (hereinafter “SMC”) registration fee in full and understand and accept that said fee is non-refundable;

    

   4. That the Mas Band has not entered into any previous agreement(s) that prohibits it from entering into this agreement;

    

   5. That I understand and accept that Spicemas 2026 is a product of the SMC and that the grant of a license from SMC is the Mas Band’s sole authorization to participate in Spicemas 2026, particularly, the parades of the Mas bands on Monday, the 10^th and Tuesday, the 11^th of August 2026.

    

   6. That I understand and accept that the grant and continuance of the license to participate in Spicemas 2026 are conditioned upon the Mas Band’s adherence to all of the terms and conditions of this agreement.

    

   7. That I understand and accept that SMC does not provide liability insurance for the protection of persons, organizations, spectators, patrons or others who participate in Spicemas 2026;

    

   8. That I understand and accept that the period for obtaining concessions related to the provision of the Mas Band’s services for Spicemas 2026 ends on June 30^th, 2026.

    

   9. That I have read and understood all of the terms and conditions of this agreement, including the SMC Mas Bands Rules;
